As a teacher, I have always been committed to helping students enjoy the history of their country. I wrote America--Land of the Free to serve two purposes:

1. Build character in today's youth. Many of our Founding Fathers were known for their strong character and moral values, which make them the perfect heroes for students to emulate.
   
2. Teach kids the role they play in protecting individual liberties. America is an amazing country and the last ray of hope from unjust governments. But, this can change so easily if we let it slip away. All American citizens have a responsibility to study history and be conscious of the pitfalls that greed and personal ambition create in governments everywhere. They should also be aware that other entities, including the media, have the potential for subverting the truth.

America is truly a “shining city on a hill”. I have made America--Land of the Free available as a downloadable file to teachers and parents for a low price in the hopes that they will implement it in their classrooms and families to help preserve our priceless national heritage.
